We have immediate openings for Machinists on our night shift (6:00pm to 2:00am).

No experience is required. We will train!

These are hourly positions reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor.

As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machines to meet goals and objectives. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to producing accurate work in a safe and efficient manner.

Initial duties will include the following:

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machinery, including lathes, mills, and grinders, based on production requirements.
• Interpret and read blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation to determine appropriate machine settings and techniques.
• Perform quality checks using precision measurement tools, ensuring parts meet established tolerances and specifications.
• Conduct basic machine maintenance, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working order.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust machines as necessary to improve performance and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Best qualified candidates will have:

• Strong mechanical skills, including an understanding of machine functions, parts, and basic maintenance, with a natural inclination toward hands-on work.
• Ability to learn and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions accurately to ensure parts meet specifications.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager – Channel Partners to join our team.

This position focuses on managing and supporting our external sales channels, specifically manufacturer representatives in the Eastern U.S.

Initial duties will include the following:

• Lead, manage, and support manufacturer reps to achieve or exceed bookings targets.
• Establish territory bookings budgets in collaboration with senior leadership, manufacturer reps, and market insights.
• Act as the main point of contact for manufacturer reps, ensuring they have the resources, tools, and support needed to succeed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer challenges in collaboration with internal and external teams.
• Partner with internal teams (marketing, engineering, etc.) to develop and execute support programs.
• Continuously improve program effectiveness to meet market needs.
• Maintain relationships with key customers and address feedback to refine strategies.

Best qualified candidates will have:

We are currently seeking candidates for a Sales Engineer for the Pittsburgh, PA region. This position will require the qualified candidate to live in the Pittsburgh area.

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for growing sales and developing lasting relationships with our customer base.

Initial duties will include the following:

• • Achieve bookings goals for the specific territory.
  • Generate interest and inquiries in Xtek products.
  • Act as a technical resource for Xtek products to the customer.
  • Serve as a liaison between the customer and Xtek.
  • Assist with forecasting and market reviews.

Best qualified candidates will have:

• • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 4+ years of previous sales or mill experience

1st Shift 6:00am – 2:30pm

This position is responsible for field service work performed on-site at multiple customer locations, and for various assignments at Xtek Cincinnati when not on-site at customer facilities.

Primary Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Proficient in operation of hoists, overhead cranes, and forklifts.
• Willingness to obtain required minimum personal tooling.
• Willingness to travel.
• Current driver’s license and good driving record.
• Uphold all company and customer standards regarding field service work.
• Proven mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to use hand torch for heating and cutting.
• Ability to safely set up and use a press or puller, with assistance.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely with others.
• Ensure that all appropriate PPE is used at all times.
• Ability to understand dimensional and word instructions on a drawing.
• Ability to use measuring equipment and record dimensions.
• Report any incidents or concerns to Field Service Crew Lead as required.
• Continue to enhance personal skill sets through outside learning classes, formal training seminars, and hands-on opportunities.
• Perform duties as assigned by Field Service Manager.

2nd Shift – 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Mechanics in the Service Department require the ability to assemble all Xtek assemblies including Gearboxes, Gearing (Large & Small), Track Wheels and Gear Couplings with assistance from Senior Assembly personnel, engineering, or supervisory support.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assemble and disassemble Xtek components, including gearboxes, gearing (large & small), track wheels, and gear couplings, following engineering specifications and work instructions.
• Install and align bearings, seals, gears, shafts, and other mechanical components to precise tolerances.
• Perform inspections and measurements using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit and function.
• Torque fasteners and secure components according to specified procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
• Apply lubricants, sealants, and gaskets as required for proper assembly and operation.
• Operate hydraulic presses, pullers, and other assembly equipment to fit or remove tight-tolerance components.
• Test completed assemblies by rotating components, checking for proper clearances, and identifying potential issues before final shipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively with senior assembly personnel, engineers, and supervisors to troubleshoot assembly challenges and suggest improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S and lean manufacturing principles.

3rd Shift – 10:00pm – 6:00am

This position is an entry level position in the heat treat area. The person who fills this position will learn the basics of heat treating while assisting others and performing crane duties.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Loads and unloads furnaces while in the cab of the overhead crane.
• Assists others in preparing product for furnaces which includes:
  • Positioning and loading parts onto furnace fixtures
  • Setting up products with appropriate lifting/handling fixtures
  • Wrapping
  • Painting
  • Protecting products for carburizing, hardening and quenching cycles

1^st Shift 6:00am – 2:30pm

The Calibration Technician maintains, tests and repairs a variety of instrumentation and equipment. The primary job is to make sure that instruments, gages and testing devices are calibrated correctly and give accurate readings. This position is responsible for the tracking and calibration of all measuring and test equipment (M&TE) at the Cincinnati plant and subsideries.

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure all M&TE is recorded in the GAGEpack software
• Ensure M&TE meets ISO 9001 calibration requirements
• Works with department managers to identify and collect gages for calibration
• Works with vendors for repair of gages and on-site/ off-site gage calibration
• Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with 5S protocol
