Modeled after popular events in which high school athletes publicly announce where they will attend college, the Manufacturing Signing Day allows students to declare for a company at which they will start their careers. The participating students were sporting hats featuring their new companies while signing employment offers with 28 companies in the greater Cincinnati area weeks before graduation.
United States Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, was the keynote speaker who congratulated the students on their upcoming graduation and careers in manufacturing.
